The story of Pickles and Pansy is a certainly not a dull one that's for sure! You can say that it involves a large volume of cheese combined with little rambunctious pug who gets himself into a lot of unexpected scenarios. It is an epic adventure, full of fun, and exploration highlighting the importance of self-acceptance, personal growth, and love. It is designed in mind to foster young reader's imaginations and creativity. Embrace the puglife with Pickles and Pansy today!
Created and illustrated by Marcus Gilmore (www.marcusgilmoreart.com) and Liezel Magill. This series of children's books is for all pug owners, and curious readers a-like and full of rather funny scenes if we can say so our self! Just like how real pugs can be like...smelly, greedy and full of wind, but of course rather lovable too.
Next volume of Pickles and Pansy volume 2 is currently underway and will be due to be completed later in August 2025. Stay tuned for more Pickles & Pansy!
Pickles in full pug-gremlin form when you spot him consuming his cheese. Nothing and I mean nothing, will dissuade a pug from their holy cheese. When not eating cheese...Pickles can be found usually sleeping with his favourite toy called ''Harry''.
Pansy is actually a keen dancer, a master of stealth and espionage! Basically a cat-ninja and a very powerfull ally for Pickles.

The initial inspiration behind Pickles & Pansy actually came from these two annoying little fart bags called Lily & Lexy. They are as you can clearly see, pugs, but not just any kind of run-of-the mill pug they are the masterminds and creative force behind Pickles & Pansy. You probably won't believe it, but they provided all the initial concepts, ideas and did actually draw the storyboards for the book! Pickles was majorly inspired and referenced from Lexy, as she has a very strong affinity with cheese you see! She is also INCREDIBLY strong for a pug, because when the nail clippers come out she is enhanced with the strength of 4 grown men. FYI : Also do not say the word 'Food' within close proximity to these monsters otherwise all hell breaks loose.
